We’ve got a strong track record of sustainable pricing – against a backdrop of spiralling health insurance costs elsewhere. To give you an idea, our most popular plan (Diagnosis and Treatment - Level 2) has only increased by the equivalent of c.5% a year on average since our launch in 2018.
3. We do what we say on the tin
We don’t have wait periods, and we don’t operate on a discretionary basis. We are transparent about our services and our prices, so you and your people know exactly what you’re getting.
We’re also upfront about what we don’t cover too. For example, we apply an exclusion of three-year pre existing conditions, and we don’t cover cancer treatment – these also help keep our prices more stable.
4. We’re focussing on MSK
Musculoskeletal issues are one of the biggest causes of sickness absence in the UK – which is why physiotherapy is included in all our plans at every level. Members can now access self-help MSK advice even if they have a pre-existing condition, and with new issues can see an AXA Health physiotherapist face-to-face within days rather than weeks.
5. We’re bringing in NEW features to help people get better, faster
We’re constantly evolving our services to support businesses and their people.
NEW in 2025:
- Cancer pathways – fast-track Check4Cancer diagnosis pathways introduced for Breast, Skin, and Prostate cancer. No GP referral is needed, and members can get to a specialist usually within 3-5 days.
- Treatment pathways – for quicker, more streamlined health journeys and fast-track referrals for neurology, cardiology, and dermatology.
- A choice of Thriva tests – from thyroid to cholesterol, vitamin D to diabetes, and specialist women’s and men’s health checks.
6. We’re digital first
Our transparent pricing means businesses can quote and buy online.
Meanwhile, members access their services from an easy-to-use online Portal or by downloading the Equipsme App, so they can also have health back-up quite literally in their back pocket.
7. We’re opening a gateway to health insurance for the whole family
We believe we’re the only company health plan provider in the market that allows employees to pay in themselves to upgrade and add their families – with no admin for the company, no P11D tax, and no fuss. So, employees can get more peace of mind and private health back-up for their loved ones, at a fraction of the cost of an individual PMI plan.
8. We’re proving we’re worth it
We’re the very first provider to be able to give a hard-and-fast Return On Investment figure for our health insurance plans.
