With diagnosis cover, you will be able to see specialists and have tests and scans. Treatment cover takes this a step further, providing access to hospitals and surgeons. All of this through AXA Health’s approved network of specialists and hospitals. All ages 16‑69 cost the same on all plans and prices include all applicable taxes.

All of our plans include benefits from AXA Health, ranging from nurse helplines and physiotherapy, to private specialist diagnosis, plus private hospital treatment on our highest level. While we don't cover cancer treatment, you're covered up until a diagnosis. With no medical questions and a simple exclusion of pre-existing conditions in the three years before cover starts, it's quick and easy to apply.

24/7 GP Access

We offer GP Access across all four levels of Equipsme. If you’re not feeling 100% then you can get a GP consultation by phone or by video call within a few hours of requesting one.

This service is provided by the UK’s leading GP consultation service – HealthHero – which is easily accessed using our Equipsme App or through the members section of our website.

Levels 3, 2 and 1 include an ‘Open Referral’ which means if the GP thinks you may need a referral onto a specialist you simply contact AXA Health who will confirm if covered and help organise the referral.

At all of the levels of Equipsme, within the GP Service, you can pay for a private prescription to be delivered to your home, work or local pharmacy.

24/7 Nurse Helpline

All levels of the Plan include a private nurse helpline and telephone support if you have a heart or cancer condition. Levels 3, 2 and 1 also include a Second Opinion service, if you’re not getting the answers you need from your current private specialist.

These are provided by AXA Health and offer 24/7 support to Equipsme members.

 

Health Checks

Across all levels of Equipsme we offer Health Checks through our service partner Thriva. Members get an online health check across all levels and on Levels 3, 2 and 1 they get an annual blood test for:
• Vitamin D (Levels 3, 2, 1)
• Cholesterol (Levels 2 and 1)
• Diabetes (Level 1)

All levels encourage members to monitor their health and to extend their health checks with a discount of £10 on further Thriva health checks.

 

Physio Sessions

We offer Physiotherapy sessions across all levels of Equipsme. You access them through AXA Health who help arrange and pay for covered sessions and can be contacted whether or not you have a GP referral.

Physio cover starts with a telephone assessment by the in-house Physio team to help assess you and suggest any easy self help solutions.

If you then need to see a physiotherapist, the team can book this, with up to 5 annual Physio sessions on GP Plus and Level 3, increasing up to 8 sessions at Level 2 and no yearly limit at Level 1.

 

Diagnosis Cover

Diagnosis cover is offered on Levels 3, 2 and 1 of Equipsme. This includes specialist consultations, diagnostic tests, MRI and CT scans, and it includes cover up until Cancer is diagnosed. All bills that are covered are paid directly by AXA Health and there is no excess to pay on Levels 1 and 3 and a small Excess of £150 on Level 2.

Specialist diagnosis consultations and tests are accessed following a GP consultation and referral and then by contacting AXA Health who will check that your condition is covered and then organise your referral onto one of their approved Specialists.

Hospital Treatment

Levels 2 and 1 of the Plan include Hospital Treatment. This includes cover for specialists, surgeons, hospital room, dressings and drugs. You have access to the AXA Health approved network of hospitals and specialists and they will settle bills that are covered directly.

The Plan does not cover the treatment of Cancer but does include cover up until Cancer is diagnosed. There is an excess of £150 at level 2 and there is no excess to pay on Level 1.

 

Dental & Optical

Dental and optical cover is an optional extra which the business owner can select when choosing the levels of cover for the business. It applies to all members no matter what level they are on.

Dental and optical cover includes Dental check up and treatment (100% payback up to £200 pa) and Sight test and prescription specs/contacts (100% payback up to £100 pa). Plus up to £25 towards annual sight test.

Stress Support

Stress Support cover is an optional extra which the business owner can select when choosing the levels of cover for the business. It applies to all members no matter what level they are on.

Our Stress Support provider is Health Assured – a leading UK provider of telephone and face to face counselling support.

Stress Support includes a Confidential telephone service 24/7, Counselling by phone and up to 8 face-to-face sessions by phone or online.
