While we’re affected by medical inflation like anyone else, our approach of community rating and product design means our most popular plans have only gone up the equivalent of around 5% each year since 2018. We’re delighted to announce that this year is no exception.

Headlines:
- Around 80% of our membership are on Levels 3 and Level 2 - and these two most popular plans have only gone up by £1 per person per month. For level 2, that’s just 2.5%.
- We’re also holding our rates on our GP Plus product and Stress Support EAP products for a further year. These are a great value ‘gateway’ into private health insurance for employees to upgrade and add family.
- We believe our prices and our history of price control makes us more cost effective and more sustainable than traditional private medical insurance – a message we know is gaining significant traction with our clients.
We believe our prices are beating private medical insurance inflation trends – but we also know that budgets are tight for both organisations and individuals. The reason our Level 2 (Diagnosis and Treatment) and Level 3 (Diagnosis) products remain popular is that they are designed to provide great value in terms of cover, at what we feel is a cost-effective price poin.
With Diagnosis, people can get help with fast-track answers, and move back to the NHS for treatment (if their claim is eligible, of course), ahead of the usual queue.
With Level 2 including Treatment, the plan can help people get swift private interventions, with a single cost of £150 excess per person per plan year.
We believe it’s also reasonable in terms of employee buy-ups and P11D costs for individual members. P11D on Level 3 is less than £5 per month for a 20% tax payer and Employees can upgrade from Level 3 Diagnosis to Level 2 that includes Private Hospital Treatment for only £18 per month. (We are not tax experts, please check circumstances with an accountant/tax adviser).
This flexible approach can work for both employer and employee with around 15% of our members buying and upgrading separately.
