Who are Equipsme?
Equipsme launched in 2018 with a mission to make business health insurance simple, practical and great value for money.
Unlike other health benefits and insurance, we actually want people to USE their plan. It’s not supposed to sit in your back pocket and do nothing. Which is exactly why we’ve put together these practical ‘How to’ guides.
Why Equipsme?
The services we selected to make up our award-winning plans are delivered by some of the biggest and most respected health providers in the industry like AXA Health, Thriva, Health Assured and Health Hero, so you can be reassured your health is in safe hands.
Equipsme is unique in the market because it also allows you to pay in to upgrade your cover and choose the level of benefits you believe is right for you and also add your partner and children, giving you extra peace of mind.
How to contact the EAP line to access mental health support
Provided by Health Assured and available on all plans if your company has chosen to add this benefit.
Mental health is becoming more of a priority for all of us, and less of a taboo. Employers can choose to add Equipsme’s Stress Support package to their group plan. It means you get access to an Employee Assistance Programme, with immediate telephone support and even face-to-face counselling sessions.
How does the Employee Assistance Programme work?
The EAP provides information, support and counselling via a confidential telephone service which is available 24 hours a day. You can talk with the Stress Support team about worries and concerns regarding home or work issues, challenging situations or medical concerns. The team will direct you to the most appropriate support for your situation.
If you do have Stress Support on your plan, it will appear as a button on your portal or App. Click through to get the details.
It’s a helpline people can call up and get a bit of support for their wellbeing or mental health. Including support and signposting for legal and financial concerns.
Because it’s through their employer, a lot of people think they can only talk about workplace issues – or only call during work hours. That’s definitely not the case! It’s open 24/7, and can help people work through all sorts of problems and worries.
What kind of things do you help with?
It can really be anything, from general anxiety to financial issues, low mood or depression to relationship issues, bereavement to workplace stress.
How do face to face counselling sessions work?
If face to face counselling sessions are recommended to you by our service, these will be arranged in person or by telephone or video call, so you can get professional support to work something through. The Stress Support benefit includes up to 8 online or face to face counselling sessions per plan year.
Who provides the Stress Support?
Our Stress Support provider is Health Assured – a leading UK provider of telephone and face to face counselling support.
Can family members use Stress Support?
If they’re on your plan, yes, but do be aware that children must be aged over 16 to use it.
