Here’s what’s happened in the last year…
1. We grew – a lot
2025 has seen Equipsme double the lives on cover, increase income by more than 70%, and work with a whole host of new organisations - from large energy companies to small local charities.
2. We found our uninsured sweet spot
Our plans occupy the middle-ground gap between traditional PMI and cashplans, allowing us to extend health insurance to more companies - and more people who would typically have assumed private healthcare was out of reach.
This year, we’ve found our sweet spot targeting the uninsured populations of large corporates – businesses looking to do more to support the health of more or all of their workforce.
That’s included a large corporate client who onboarded over 5500 employees on our most popular plan (Level 2). Equipsme was incredibly well-received, with great feedback from the HR team, Board, Unions and employees alike. So much so, in fact, we saw a further 1,000+ direct employee buy-ups as they invest in upgrades and add family members.

3. We made a difference
We know that what we do works, and that it’s making a real difference to real people – and in 2025 we found some incredible member stories.
They include Katherine, whose suspected ear infection turned out to be a brain tumour - that might have gone undiagnosed without Equipsme’s support, and Roeland, who used his Equipsme plan to see one of the country’s top heart surgeon after two failed operations on the NHS.
4. We enhanced our products
We make it our business not just to listen to employers, but to employees, too. So we knew that people really value the peace of mind they get from prevention and early diagnosis services.
That’s why we worked with our healthcheck partners Thriva to provide members with more choice over their annual tests, and with our delivery partners AXA Health to open up fast-track Pathways to 3 common health areas (MSK, Dermatology and Digestive) and 3 common cancers (Breast, Prostate and Skin).
5. We won!
In 2025 what Equipsme does, how it does it, and why it’s in such demand - has been recognised in several high-profile Awards schemes.
We were the judges’ Highly Commended at the Corporate Advisor Awards for Best Health and Wellbeing Innovator, and the Health and Protection Awards for Best Group Health Provider.
Best of all, we won not one but two Awards at the Workplace Savings and Benefits Awards – named Benefit Innovation of the Year and Health and Wellbeing Provider of the Year.

6. We deepened broker relationships
Our relationships with leading employee benefit brokers are crucial in driving our pipeline, and reaching and engaging large enterprises.
This year, in order to further support them, we launched an online broker quote portal in pilot form - allowing key partners to generate and personalise their own instant client quotes.
We also went out on the road across the UK to meet benefits teams in person, as well as delivering broker webinars to hundreds of contacts. And in November, we held our first broker round-table – discussing the uninsured opportunity and the future of PMI.
7. We got a new Chair
We welcomed Stuart Reid as our new Chair. Stuart has an outstanding track record in growing businesses and advocating for the insurance sector, and has already been instrumental in opening new industry doors and forging new partnerships.

8. We moved
Our trophies now have a new home. Behind the scenes, the Equipsme team has been growing with the business.
With new people on board or being recruited to support operations, sales, finance and marketing, we’ve outgrown our previous Shepherd’s Bush offices and moved into new, larger premises in Clerkenwell.
9. We got a new look ready for 2026
To top off our stellar 2025 we recently undertook a brand refresh to keep us fit for the immediate future – and reflect our direction of travel. Our blue and pink are growing up with us and going darker to mirror our corporate customers, with a new emphasis on Equips-ME – moving us beyond our SME roots.
Our new strapline, ‘Employee health insurance’ says what we do on the tin for both our clients and our members when we’re out and about talking to them at pitches, meetings, roadshows and training/awareness events.

10. We got ready to do even more in the New Year
Our success in 2025 hasn’t been random - it’s the result of the work we’ve put in to build the business to this point - and it’s just the beginning. We’re going into 2026 with a mission to make private health insurance work even harder for more businesses, and more individuals within them.
