How Equipsme works: How to arrange a home health check

Equipsme plans are designed to offer practical, everyday health and wellbeing support. Here’s how to use your home health check.

What are home health checks?

At Equipsme we believe prevention is key in health care, which is why all our plans come with some level of annual health check through our partners Thriva.

If you’ve not been feeling 100%, if you’re worried about something that runs in the family, or if you just want a bit of an MOT, our home health check blood tests and discounts are there to help.

How to use your home health checks provided by Thriva

Get started by visiting your Equipsme App or online portal, and click on the Health Check icon.

What tests are included in my Equipsme plan?

The Thriva health tests available to you will depend what plan level you’re on.

1. GP Plus (Level 4)

Members on our GP+ plan can get 30% off any Thriva test of their choice each year.

2. Diagnosis (Level 3)

Members on our Diagnosis plan get a choice of either a Cholesterol or Diabetes test with their plan, and 20% off any other Thriva test they buy.

3. Diagnosis and Treatment (Level 2)

Members on our Diagnosis and Treatment plan get a choice of either an enhanced Heart Health, Diabetes or a Thyroid test as part of their plan, and 20% off any other Thriva test they buy.

4. Diagnosis and Treatment Plus (Level 1)

Members on our Diagnosis and Treatment Plus plan get a choice of either a Heart Health, Men’s Health, Women’s Hormones, Thyroid & Iron or Diabetes test as part of their plan, AND the 20% off any other Thriva test they buy.

What is a home testing kit?

Your kit comes with everything you need and full instructions to do the blood collection and return your sample.

You no longer need to do a finger prick test as our partners at Thriva have an automated blood collection device that takes the blood from your arm automatically, in an effortless, pain free and convenient way.

How quickly do you get the results?

Results usually become available online in about a week.

What sort of tests are available?

Depending on your Plan level, tests can include things like:

  • Heart Health – cholesterol, blood sugar and inflammation markers
  • Diabetes – blood sugar, liver biochemistry and creatinine (indicates kidney health)
  • Energy – thyroid (controls metabolism) and iron (ferritin) markers that help to identify any signs of deficiencies
  • Male health – key markers for cholesterol, testosterone and blood sugar
  • Female health - female hormonal health markers including Oestrogen, LH and FSH markers.

Who provides the home health checks?

Equipsme’s home health checks are provided by our partners Thriva. Thriva are experts in preventative care, and aim to help put people in control of their own health by providing home-based health checks with health insights, actionable support and GP advice, all from the comfort of home.

How do I order a test?

Equipsme members can order their test kits by clicking on the Health check icon on their App or personal portal.

How often can I get tested?

Your plan lets you get tested every plan year.

 

Quick info about accessing your home health check:

  • Click on the Health Check icon
  • Check what Level plan you’re on, and what tests/discounts are available.
  • Click the link to access your chosen health check, plus any discount if you wish to purchase additional health checks.
